We are whispering here...

Very quietly I want to tell you all what has happened here in regards to Jacob in the past week.

Last week Jacob started getting dropped off at Daycare...and was NOT crying! After 2 weeks of hearing him cry every morning this was a huge blessing to Frank and I!

Last monday jacob got a new teacher! She's permanent in his room and her name is Brandie. So far she's doing great with him, she learned his feeds the first day! And is willing to go the extra mile with him. She sat near him while he fingerpainted the other day, so that he could sit in a regular seat and not his booster with straps!

On Thursday I bought some more baby food. Jacob get's 2-3 Jars a day of stage 2 though his tube. We water it down with water or formula. I was mixing some up for him at night and had some on the spoon. Said "ready, Set..." and he opened his mouth for it!! He took 6 bites off a spoon that time! That night at dinner he ate (by himself, with us refilling the spoon) a tablespoon or so of his fav cereal .. Cinnamon, rasin granolla.

This morning he ate about 10 mini animal crackers, and today at walmart I told him "anything you want, Just ask!" he pointed out a box of cinnamon graham cracker sticks, he at (NOTHING ON HIS SHIRT!) 7 of them in the store! At the end of each one i'd say "are you done?" he'd shake his head YES! I'd ask if he wanted more, he'd sign more and reach for the box!

Remember we're whispering this! He's come close to the point before only to backslide to NOTHING...so we're cautious to say the best. But I wanted to let you all know!

Last day of School...and Daycare Update

Today is Caitlynn's last day of school! She will have completed the 3rd grade, and OMG we'll have a 4th grader on our hands. She's done well with the move and the transition. And seems to enjoy going. Tomorrow she leaves for North Carolina, she's staying there till the 1st of June with my Aunt and Uncle, and their 3 kids. I'm sure she'll have a blast!

Jacob...he's doing better with school. They finally found a teacher for his room, they were rotating teachers in and change bothers him. Ms. Brandie is his new teacher and she say's he is her little shadow. He's had 2 great days since she started on Monday. We have him wearing his braces in the AM now, it's just to hot to wear them all day. Since they go outside to play in the morning it seemed the best option. I'm going to see if I can leave my camera with her one day. He is napping on a mat with other kids. He's playing on the playground...and yesterday when I went to pick him up he was sitting at the table reading! She was asking him "wheres the leaves" and he pointed to them!!! He also ATE by mouth! 6 baby spoons of Papaya (baby food) and about a tablespoon of a oatmeal baby food! He opened for the first 6, the oatmeal he did on his own!

Franks work is going great. Pay is better then in PA...since he's a supervisor here and saleried.

My work...well it's home depot. What can you say? The HR seems nice, and so does a few others. Yet where you get cashiers you get petty BS. But that's normal in all stores. They offered me a steady 9:30-6:30 M-F....But I dont think i'll take it. If Jacob get's sick it's me calling out...Franks always home weekends. So that leaves me to call out for school days if he cant attend or has a doctors apt.

Update from ER...

Jacob had a bad ear infection. The doc's put him on a ABX for 10 days. Day 1 and 2 weren't so great....but his feever finally broke this morning. It was wonderful to see him sweaty!! :) He's back to his happy self (till tomorrow when he goes to school again) and is tollerating his feeds well.

He should get weighed tonight...that'll be the real test.

First ER Visist...

Jacob's not been himself for 2 days. He was cutting a tooth last week so we thought it was that. With his FUO's a lowgrade feever (like with a tooth) takes him up to about 102...since it wasn't going over that we gave him the Tylenol and motrin...and watched his fluids.Today his feever spiked to 103.5....That's out of my comfort level for him....so frank just took him to the local ER. I'm worried...especially since they dont know him and have to just go on what we say. Oh ya...and he doesnt have insurance here yet. We're taking the papers in (and ALL his records to try to expedite it) tomorrow. We both have to work tomorrow but frank has testing in columbia, SC with his work...he MUST goto to keep his supervisor title with the company. So back to work 2 days...and may already have to call out.PRAY with me please that this is just something silly...ya know, like a EAR infection! He has beet red ears, right worse then left. And he wont let me touch it. Oh ya...had a run in today with a co-worker on my 2nd day. Ended up going to management about it. I just called the store so I could speak to the same manager, I didnt want them thinking I was calling out because I couldnt handle a confrontation..CALGON take me away!!!

This one's for you Cheryl!

So glad to know you guys moved well too! Did all the green stickers go and the red ones stay? {{hugs}}

Caitlynn does have her own room. 3 walls are purple and 1 is cream....and there are Tinkerbell Wall stickers everywhere! She now has a Tink comfortor too...and a poster. She's doing well so far, adjusting can be tough at her age but only one bad day so far.

Jacob also has his own room! This is a first for him and us since he's always been with us. His room is grey with a blue zig zag line around it. Above the 7-10 inch zig zag is tons of Thomas the Train wall stickers :) I just bought him a dresser today, hopefully Frank can get that put together tonight for his clothes and TV/DVD player. The poor boy is really missing his Thomas the Train video's! He started daycare last Friday...and though he cries when we drop him off he does very well. 2 people at the center know how to do his tube feeds, and have adjusted to him and like him. Everyone know's his name there already :)

Frank started work with "Carolina Fire Service, INC" on Wednesday! He'll be paid every 2 weeks, the same week as the rest of us. So far he likes the job, he was put in a saleried position at 45 hours a week....making slightly more then up in PA. :)

Paul, Mom and I start back to work on the 14th.....so far everything is going well with that too.

Miss all you up there!!!

We made it...

Safe and sound.

Alot happened that last week. Including Jacob being rushed to the hospital by ambulance for a asthma attack. He's doing well now...so hopefully it was a fluke.

We made it to spartanburg at 2:30 Friday morning, we left Levittown at 10am Thursday... UMMMM yes a LONG LONG drive!!! We crashed at the hotel within seconds of ariving.

The furniture didnt get here till Wednesday...and the daycare we had lined up for Jacob was a bomb. After checking out 2 more...we have found a great one for him. www.sunshinehouse.com check em out! Caitlynn is in school...and actually started right when the truck arrived.

So far so good...we miss our friends up in PA. Hilary we love you and miss you! And John, Kerie and the kids.... {{hugs}} to you all!

Hilary if you check this Caitlynn has pictures for you :)
