OMG I'm soooo Excited!!!

20.4 Pounds people!! I've lost 20.4 pounds in the past 8 weeks! I'm sooo estatic!!! I'm 1/5th of the way to my 100 lb goal...it's sooo awesome!

We've also started Jacob on a new feeding regimin. Keep him in your prayers in the coming weeks as we figure out if this will work. We're mixing in a blender ...

3 Cans of Nutren (750 Calories)

6 Tbs Baby Oatmeal (90 Cal)

6 TBS of Carnation Instant Breakfast (130 Cal's)

1 stage 2 Meat (80 cals)

1 stage 2 Veggie (70 cals)

1 stage 2 Fruit (80-100 cals)

1/2 container of BeneCalorie (165 cal's)

1 crushed vitamin (looking for liquid vitamin's now)

We're then filling his school jars (2 mason jars and 125cc's in 2 other jars) for his 4 feeds at daycare.

The remainder he get's overnight that night. To the overnight we're adding about 5-7 oz of water for fluid in the summer.

He needs weight...he's in desperate need of weight..he's at 29.2lbs and has not gained in about a month to 6 weeks. He's had 2 bad illnesses, and 1 mild one...and i'm sure that's the reason. We'll weigh him Monday then again next Friday (when our friends come in from PA) so we know if this is working...if so...we'll take the blender camping! :)

Called Nestle Today...

The number on the Nutren JR Cans. We're starting to run low, with no end in sight for the insurance.

I asked them if 3 cans would meet J's nutritional requirements. It will thankfully till he's about 3.5 years So we've cut back his formula and added back in...

Water, Carnation Instant Breakfast 6 Tablespoon's1/2 contanior of BeneCalorieBaby Oatmeal (6 tablespoons)3 Jar's of baby food... 1 meat, 1 veg, 1 fruit. We're giving him a 2 week trial on this ... and Praying for the best. He'll get weighed tonight...then again Monday...and Friday of next week, before we go camping.

The great thing about this call is the lady gave me the local Nestle rep! And said to call her and tell her our situation and she can send me a few cases....but at the same time the lady on the phone is sending us a few cases This is awesome!!!I always forget you can call these places...it's great to see human kindness!

The trip...

The trip we took the other day was quick. But relaxing in a way ;) The hotel pool was nice, and we all got a good night sleep! We think we'll go back again, but not for a couple years. I prefer someplace quieter and less traffic!

We didnt get the chance to meet up with Leo...Franks inspection locations took longer then expected, and Jacob was tired of being in the car. But maybe someday.

We had Jacob back at the doc's yesterday for his follow up on his URI and Ear infection. And she put him on Amoxicillian...apparently there is STILL fluid on his one ear, and part of the URI is hanging on.

Off we go!

Tomorrow morning we leave for Myrtle Beach! We've never been so i'm sure it'll be fun! It is a working 2 day vacation, since Frank is working, his boss is paying for the hotel room for the night since he has a few jobs in the area. But the evening's will be fun :D

We're meeting up with a online friend (Leo) tomorrow night, and having dinner at her place. Should be fun! Wonder what Jacob will think of another child with a tube...he's never met another tuber before!

Yesterday we had fun...we went to Barnet Park here in Spartanburg. They have these awesome sculptures around town, and 2 of them (at least) are there. Here are a few pictures of the fun we had... Enjoy!!

Today is Paul's Birthday!! Happy 29th Birthday Dad! Hope you enjoy your gift :)

The window people are still here...and now the pool people (Paul's gift ;)) and Monday the Gutter guys will be here. Geese...it seem's never ending!

BUT...get this! We have a counter and working sink and dishwasher again! After 2 months of using bathroom sinks and buckets to do dishes this is great!!

The past week

Nothing can ever be easy ... can it?

Jacob came home from daycare last friday with 102.9 temp...Rectal. By Saturday he was the same...Sat night came around and he's walking around holding his throat, and just laying in bed with me.

So off to the ER. He's got a double ear infection, Strep Throat, Sinus Infection and Upper Resp infection. They gave him a shot of an Antibiotic...and said that should be all he needs. Hummmm I'm doubtfull.

We call the place for a followup....and they cant see him till the 27th. We kept him him yesterday due to retching and vomiting...not much , but he was uncomfy and his temp was still above 101. Today he went to school, but ... I noticed him holding his throat. So i'm calling the clinic back to see if they can get him in sooner. But when I asked him if he wanted to go to school he signed "car ride" so I know he did. Yesterday when I asked he shook his head no. :( I'm so pleased that he answered a question! But sad that he felt that bad.

We're getting very excited about our upcoming trip...I think it'll be great to get away and see some new things.

Vacation Change...

We were traveling to Ocean City MD for Vacation this year. We were meeting John, Kerie and Kameron there for a week of fun in the sun! But some things came up, as they were sure to! So we changed our plans around!

Now...John and all are driving HERE to see our wonderful new home! And spending a few day's of fun in our pool and sun ;) On the 15th we're doing a FIRST...camping at a STATE park! It seems awesome...and the price was fab! Huge site too 50x19 feet...so we can put both tents on one site, and save more! There are about 4-5 hiking trails around, along with a lake...and streams...just FUN! It's Oconee state park, about 2 hours from here....I'm sure there'll be tons of pic's to post when we get back!

Update on Z-Coil's!

WOW it's been one Month since mom and I drove to NC for our ZCoil shoes! And it's been one month that i've been...

Pain Free!!!

It's great being able to come home and DO things. Not just have to get off my feet! It's wonderful...awesome! I've reccomended them to soo many people, and get lots of questions about them at work.

Let's just way... WOOOO HOOOOO!!!

Oh yes...let's add another update!

Jacob found a cup he can drink out of! He's still chewing, and doesnt know how to suck at all. But he can get liquid out of this cup, without spilling it all over the place! He's also attempting to eat small bites of food. Yesterday at school he had 5 bites of cooked carrot, and 5 bites of pineapple! Along with 3 crushed goldfish crackers at snack! WTG Little man!! After searching the WWW and not finding the cup anywhere I went to the next best place. http://www.parent-2-parent.com/ and asked there! Finally got the name and brand...it's a Gerber Nuk Training Cup. Ment for age 6 months. I went to stores today and found 2 more for him at Walmart! He now has Blue, Green and Red :)

This week...

...has flown by! Caitlynn had no Summer Camp this week....but she had a blast being home with Mommy, Mom-Mom and Daddy and Pop-Pop. Since we were all off different day's it worked out that Paul didn't have to watch her as much as we thought. There is one more week to come that she's home with him, and hopefully it wont be bad. Since he works nights she has to be quiet while he sleeps. She's very excited about a new addition to our extended family...it's large, and filled with water. Any guesses? LOL

Jacob did great with school this week! He really loves going to visit Miss Brandi each day. She gave him a lime popsicle the other day and said he loved it :) So I'm taking in a disposable camera....if she does it again she can get some pictures of him :) His bruises are almost gone from the bites he got at school. It was heartrenching to have to understand that Jacob will not tell if something is wrong. He'll cry, scream...but he cant say "Jimmy" bit me. Or even "Owie!/Boo Boo" His communication is so limited...it's sad to realize that this is not changing any time soon. A nurse for the State of SC came out on Friday to assess him and see if he meets the "institutealized level of care" and we believe he does, she seemed to think he does too. But since she cant say anything to us we wont know anything untill we talk to his caseworker this week.

Today I was off...AMAZING! So we went to the Greenville Zoo :) The kids had a blast, and we had a fun time too. Great exersize! And with my new shoes I was ABLE to walk it without a problem!! It's sooo neat to NOT be in pain at the end of the day! I do feel a difference if I dont wear the Z-Coil's...or walk around home with no shoes....that's a huge NONO! These are wonderful i'd reccomend them to anyone in ANY pain! (feet, legs, back....)

Now for a few pictures...

Oh yes! I added both Mine & Franks weight tickers to the bottom! Check back every sunday for an update! Weigh in is tomorrow morning!

Weight Loss, and other stuff.

Yup! You read that right! 13.8lbs lost! On my way to a goal of 100lbs by next spring/summer.

When we moved here I was 271. When we started the diet I was 267.5. I've talked to my mom and she's agreed to put my starting weight at 271 since we know that's what I was at when I started watching what I was eating. . .just not officially dieting.

The kitchen is getting there, slow but sure. The cabinets (except the one that got broke by the delivery company. That should be here tomorrow. At that point we can set up a measure for the counter top (it'll be a black color) and that's the begining of the end!!! We got a new kitchen table yesterday from Ashley Furniture. Ahh There it is right on the left :) That should be here about mid July. The other table we have is going near the window, it's round and has the same wood top, off white legs, so we ordered to extra chairs from this set since we dont have the chairs for it. It's been a long process, and we cant wait (after a month) to have everything back to normal....

Jacob and Caitlynn got a small pool on Friday. Frank set it up yesterday (while I was at work) and let them swim! Jacob LOVED it!!! It was his first time in something like that, and he did very well!
