Another Song

This one is awesome...It's a new one by Carrie Underwood called "So Small" For you SN parents out there....the one line is awesome! here...just see for yourself!

Carrie Underwood So Small Lyrics
Yeah, Yeah
What you got if you ain't got love
The kind that you just want to give away
It's ok to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out and just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith
Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
And when you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else seem
So small
It's so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big at the time
It's like a river that's so wide it swallows you whole
While you're sitting around thinking about what you can't change
And worrying about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count cause you can't get it back
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
Oh, and when you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else seem
So small, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've out there searching for forever
Is in your hands
And then you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Oh, it sure makes everything else seem
So small
Yeah, yeah

What a night...

Last night, while getting dinner together, Jacob decided that the table leg looked like a nice place to hit his head. The thud, and scream...then silent, breath holding scream...scared us shitless! He wouldnt let us get ice or cold water on it (sensory issues)....and after calming down, he grabbed a paci, went to his bed and layed down. At that point we decided to take him to the ER. It's not like him to just want to go to bed.
Thankfully it's just a contusion, with severe swelling. It's going down now, but will leave a huge shiner.
We had to watch him today for any signs of him being 'off' .. and he did well. Even found a birthday gift hidden in Mom-Mom's closet ;) Instead of grabbing it though he grabbed Mom's hand and took her over like "is that mine???" or "Can I have that??".. we gave him something else Diego to distract him...and rehid the gift!
He also boycotted his nap for a long time today...so he must be feeling better! And he's telling everyone around him to "GO!!" or "Go Go" ...

Do you ever...

Hear a song on the radio, and think....I could of said that. Kellie Pickler..."I wonder" How that song touches my heart. It's talking about the relationship between a mother and daughter. But if you just change it to father...and a few words get adjusted. God...That first stanza is us.

Sometimes I think about you
Wonder if you’re out there somewhere thinking bout me
And would you even recognize
The woman that your little girl has grown up to be
Cause I look in the mirror and all I see
Are your brown eyes lookin back at me
They’re the only thing you ever gave to me at all

Forgiveness is such a simple word
But it’s so hard to do when you’ve been hurt

Just thinking outloud here people...dont mind me.

I guess I havent...

Update in a bit. The first week of school went well. No major mishaps, the bus came on time, and dropped off. Ahhhh sounds like the start of a good year!

Last friday we had a meeting with the school district for Jacob. Wanna hear a shocker? He qualifes for preschool due to his disabilities. WOW Whoda Thunk? (if you dont sence the sarcasm....read that again) He has a Audiology apt on the 6th, then another meeting with the school within 3-5 days of that. They say they will have him "ready to start school on his birthday". So on 9-25-07 I will have a 4th grader and a PreSchooler. They are, however, very unsure about where to place him.

Houston Elem has a Preschool "child with developmental delay's" preschool. It's a blanket term to encompass all his delays. Therapists would do therapy there. They do have a nurse on staff, but she's not used to tube feeds. He needs 2 feeds during the school hours of 830Am and 2Pm. He would be bussed from the daycare to there. About a 4 min drive.

McCarthy-Teszler school is a special needs school with on site therapy, with their own rooms. It's a low student to teacher ratio, but a higher ration of more severe needs children. They are very used to G-Tube feeds, he would need 2while there. School hour is either AM or PM ... about 2 hours 30 min's total. He would be bussed, drive is about 20 min's.

I'm leaning towards Houston right now as long as we can teach him about his tube. I think he needs to be around typical kids, or kids with less severe problems. He TRIES to talk..and currently is saying 3 words!!! "Click, Zoom and GO!!" We may be able to work it so that he needs 1 feed....we'd just have to play with the time of the feeds... UGH!! The decisions!

Today he has a GI apt with his new GI. Dr. Jonathan Markowitz used to work with our old GI (David Picolli) out of CHOP! So we're very pleased to meet him today. He's almost out of Previcid, and we're praying for some samples very soon from him.

Needing some Prayers

For my Grandmom Davies today. She is 78 years old, and going strong. But had to have surgery on her spine today. In 2 places, one laprascopic and one with a full insision. Apparently there are nerves being caught and she's in severe pain, cant walk...and so on. Please keep her in your Prayers Today, and for the next few weeks to follow.

Say "CLICK"

OMG.....I know he's trying soooo hard! Jacob has become a huge Diego fan! And he's been watching "on demand" Diego-Ana The Anaconda. And Diego say's "Say Click, Take a Pic" and Jacob is trying to say CLICK!!!! I really think we can count this as his first word! He tries to say "HI" and "Hello" at times to, but this one you can ALMOST understand. 1 Baby Step at a time...he'll get there, he's been doing alot more babbling lately...he reminds me alot of a 10 month old :) (with Attitude of course ;))

We leave for the Campground tomorrow morning. And will be back Sunday. Pray all goes well, and we all enjoy our time away!

Today my scale was especially nice to me. It said 248.2 which is 22.8 pounds LOST!! It's never felt so good to LOOSE something ;) I broke the 250 pound mark too...which is AWESOME!

Caitlynn had a early birthday party yesterday. nothing big, just Mom-Mom, Pop-Pop, Us, John, Kerie and Kammy. She had a nice time, and got some cool Tinkerbell stuff, and a new Nintendo DS game. We went out for ice cream instead of cake...and had a great time.

They are Coming!

Wooo Hooo! John, Kerie and Kammy will be here tomorrow, they are leaving Levittown, PA around 3am...and i'll meet them sometime early afternoon depending on what traffic they hit. We have a busy vacation planned, with lots of fun in the sun. Pool time, water time at the park...and ;) apartment hunting for them. John's looking to relocate to here...it's be great having them closer. Kammy, poor kid, is driving john crazy saying we're leaving today, today is Thursday. He doesnt understand that he has to go to bed first to leave :)

Camping starts next wednesday... We're going to a state park in western SC. http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/park-finder/state-park/750.aspx It should be alot of fun, and some nice hiking trails. And now that Jacob is liking the water the swimming will be fun too! :)

I'll be in touch till Wednesday morning. But keep the Evans' family in your prayers for a safe trip as they leave EARLY tomorrow morning, for a 12 hour drive.

Women Problems :(

Is there no end in sight? My God where does this pain come from? And dont feed me that line about Eve taking the first bite from the Apple... UGH! Nobody should have to go though this type of pain on a monthly basis!

K ... vent out. So sorry to all you bloggers that had to hear that.

~~~~~
Weight update! I lost 2 ounces this week! With Aunt Flo stopping buy for a visit that's not bad! She's also visiting a fellow blogger....how I'm not sure! You should not be able to be in 2 places at once...I volunteer her to go to A! :) Sorry A!
Jacobs weight...he got weighed yesterday morning and came in at...
30 pounds!!!
Thats up 12 ounces in the last 10-12 days...this new formula is working wonders for him!! He's also eating a bit more by mouth...he's LOVING puff's again. And even licked on a ice cream cone yesterday :)
I want to send a HUGE Thanks! To Shannon for giving us 100+ bags for Jacob's feeding pump. We were getting a bit desperate...down to 2 bags! And a huge WTG for her son Aidan who is getting his G-Tube removed on the 14th! Keep him in your thoughts everyone!
Also to Jen...for the 10+ cases of formula that she's sending my way. Our friends are coming from PA on Friday and they are bringing it with them. The $$ she just saved us is unaccountable! And it's a higher calorie formula so we might be able to cut out the carnation instant breakfast and save a bit more $ too.
Caitlynn starts school on the 20th, her teacher is Miss Thurmond...and there are 24 kids in her class. Let's wish her a wonderful 4th grade year! (where did the past 9 years go??) She'll be 9 on the 16 and we'll be having a small party for her at the campground.
~~~
Great update here...we've heard for Nana Hilary. She had us worried there for some weeks being out of touch. She had alot going on in 'life' in general...we know how that is dont we? She's doing better and still wants to come down to visit Jacob and Caitlynn. Cant wait to see her, i'm sure Jacob will go crazy! :)

I've been tagged!

Ok Andrea...this if for you girly!

The Rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (**if you’re a non-blogger, you can email them!)
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

My eight random facts and/or habits:Ok..well, I'll pick 4 facts and 4 habits to entertain you with! What fun this will be.

Fact #1 - I was born on the dining room floor. (Is that starting at the begining or what!) My Aunt Judy delivered me, and could not tell if I was a boy or girl. (she had 3 boys and 1 nephew...guess she didnt know girl parts?)

Fact #2 - I need to sleep with some sort of sheet/blanket up near my face. I always have...and even had a sheet that I had since Elem School. It is no longer, thrown out in the move. My only theory is my reflux, it helps to breathe in warmer air... Hummm ...sounds good.

Fact #3 - I knw someone going to an audition for American Idol.. Maurice Peake....I knew you when! Good luck!! (If I can get the picture off my cell phone i'll post it!)

Fact #4 - I once worked 3 jobs at one time. 2 of which went out of bussiness! Does that make me a bad luck charm? If so The Home Depot is in trouble then! LOL

Habbit #1 - Andrea's number 5 is my number 1!!! I have to log onto P2P or my blog before going to bed.

Habbit #2 - Talking about my kids. Researching new things for Jacob, and finding more books, and new things for Caitlynn. (there's that internet again!)

Habbit #3 - My DH swears I sleep with my mouth open. I swear it's a rumor, vicious rumor! (my mom does for sure though... :))

Habbit #4 - I take my camera everywhere! You never know where that next shot will be, or where the next milestone will JUMP up at you!

Now...Who to tag!!

Angela http://www.jackrileywilhelm.blogspot.com/

Jennifer http://mamalamaroo.blogspot.com/

Chelle! You know I gotta Tag you Girl! http://confusedmommyof3.blogspot.com/

And my sweet Cousin! Tammy http://www.mynavyville.com/wordpress/

And last...but not least! Lesley! http://lafuze.blogspot.com/

Happy blogging all! And if you yell cause I tagged you...just go back and talk to Andrea!

He likes it!!

Finally...Jacob likes the pool! He was very unsure of it at first, but he's becoming a daredevil now! The arm floats work great on him, I Have to hunt down another pair. Our walmart is out, ebay may be my only choice.

Here's some picture to enjoy.

Oh yes, Formula update...he didnt loose...but he didnt gain.
29lb 4oz still. We're upping him to 1 container of benecalorie a day instead of 1/2.
