Medic Alert

I just ordered Jacob a Medic Alert Bracelet and Shoe Tag. Since he'll be going into daycare after we move to South Carolina in 1 month 1 week and 3 days, not that we're counting! We figured it best for him to have something on him identifying him. Especially since he's still Non-Verbal...So it'll say..

Asthma
G-Tube, NPO
No Reglan or Augmenton

He's technically not NPO at the moment....but only about .01% of his intake is oral. And it's the easiest way to explain to emergency workers that he cant have anything by mouth.

Jacob's new shirt!!

I ordered 2 shirts for Jacob a few weeks ago and they arrived yesterday during our day from hell.

The first one he got say's "Tough as Nails"....and it is so fitting for him! He's one tough little dude!

The 2nd one say's... "I can eat and sleep at the same time, Can you?" ...Sooo fitting!!

Jacob's doctors have decided on a "course of action" for him and the MRSA. First for the next 10 day's he's on Bactrim and bactroban (in his nose and g-tube site). Frank, Caitlynn and I are bathing 2x's in the first 7 days in phisohex soap. We will use it very carefully on Jacob 2x's also. After his 10 day's of Bactrim we are to make a apt with Kids 1st for a 'recheck'. If the MRSA is still present...we go to step 2. He will proably be admitted for a round of Vancomyacin.

Pray for us...him especially that this goes away and stays away.
