Alot has been going on...

Jacob got sick last Saturday/Sunday...but we thought it was just him not tollerating his tube feeds. Then Monday Caitlynn got sent home from Camp....Sick...By Monday night Paul was sick, by tuesday morning...Yup Mom was sick. Frank and I were to follow. Paul and Frank's is still hanging on...but the rest of us are pretty much better. Jacob's still having some problems getting all his calories in...but doing a bit better ...it takes him forever to recover from the smallest illness.

Work is fun...NOT. We have a new front end manager...well let's just say she and I dont see Eye to Eye. I ended up going to management about it today. Im glad I had my review already otherwise she's the one who writes it ;)!

I guess illness is good for something...it jump started my weight loss again! 7.5lbs down...but weigh in is not till Sunday ;) See the chart below :) I started this diet at 267.5, but when we moved I was at 271...so really it's more. Just not while "on" the diet.

Jacob got bit at school (daycare) today. Both arms by the same boy. The director will be talking to the other parents. We're just praying it doesnt happen again. Send some hugs his way, poor boy.

28 pounds and 10 ounces...

That is what Jacob weigh's now. He did grow, he's at 38" tall. So the weight loss and the height growth make him look even skinnier. I'm scared and worried about him. His lunch and snack at school today is 240 calories each...and that's pushing the limit with him.

And he's not tollerating his full feeds overnight, he's waking up screaming (as if in pain) around 2am. Last night we hooked him up in the evening and went for a walk...he didnt do real bad with that....so it could become a nightly walk.I just went and bought him a pair of 12 month shorts...and they fit with room to spare.

We're using Carnation Instant Breakfast, 4 cans (or as close as we can get to it) of Nutren Jr...and Baby food to up his calories and still try to keep him hydrated. I can honestly say this is his hardest summer yet. We even went out for ice cream last night, he LOVES soft serve vanillia. We were praying to get some extra calories in him. :( He didnt lick it once.

Could this be the answer?

As some of you know i've had pain in my feet for over 2 years. It's Heel Spurs/Planter Faciatis. It's pain that even after you get off your feet at night...it's bad...so bad some nights I cant walk. Well we noticed a pair of shoes a lady at our new Home Depot wears. And started talking to her about them....only to find out that 2 others in the store also wear them. Ummmm this is starting to look good! Not one of them had 1 bad thing to say! Even the price was not bad after hearing the reviews. They are called "Z-Coil's" www.zcoil.com and can NOT be ordered over the internet...so mom and I drove to Morgantin (sp) NC to get them on Friday. Today is Day 2.5 of no (relativly) pain! Frank, Caitlynn, Jacob and I even went for a walk tonight!! And still they don't hurt!!!

Here's a picture I took tonight so you can get the idea....wish us luck! Mom now owns 2 pair...and me 1...Franks interested too! They are supposed to be great for foot, back and hip pain...and leg pain.

Sorry to say...

The whispering has stopped. I know a few of you have asked me, so I figured i'd update you on Jacob's eating progress. There is none. He had a Asthma attack on Tuesday...and backslid completly to eating ... Nothing. He did take one bite of baby food for me today. But after that refused, and coughed a few times. I'm not happy with the coughing, it can be a sign of aspiration or penatration. Or simply it could be him protecting his airway. His weight came up slightly this week, we added some Carnation Instant Breakfast packets to his formula mix, it adds 130 cal's a day. If it continues to help...that would be great.

Caitlynn....well we havent seen her since 5/24! She left to spend the week with Aunt Donna, Uncle Bud, Alex (now called "CHRIS") Allison and Timmy. She's having such a good time they decided to keep her for another week! She'll be coming home either Friday or Saturday of this week, then we're going to Edventure in Columbia on Sunday. http://www.edventure.org/home.asp It sounds awesome and i'm sure both kids (and Frank) will love it! We're meeting at least 2 other P2P families there!

Gotta run...Have a great day all!!
