Celebrate with me!!

Ok family, and Blog Family! I started my weight loss journey the end of May 2007. It is now almost December...and we've come a long way baby! Little by Little things have happened. My new shoes (http://www.zcoil.com/) have allowed me to regain my life back. And by doing that could regain control of walking, running...and yes, just playing! We went camping...and I went HIKEING! OMG what a blast...and something I could not of done a year ago...or even 2 years ago. I've changed my eating patterns, i've cut out 90% of the soda I used to drink. And have been drinking about 70-100 ounces of water a day.

As of today... November 30th 2007...I weigh...

230 pounds! I started this journey at 271 pounds!

So I have lost FORTY ONE (41!!!!) Pounds!!!
My journey is not over...as you can see from the chart below. I have a current goal of 171 pounds. 100 pounds total to loose. I've gone from a TIGHT 26 to a loose 22! I'm thinking I could end around a 14/16 or less! I havent seen these sizes in over 10 years!
Stay tuned....

incomplete answers...

Now we have more.

Took Jacob back to the ER this morning....6am ish. His breathing was labored, coughing all night. Retracting in his throat and flaring at the nose.

His O2 sats were around 90 when we got there. Thankfully a inhaler treatment (3rd one already) did help some.

They've put him on prednisone and 'bed rest' LMAO ya like he'll stay in bed without screaming!

So he's out of school (and i'm out of work) till the end of the week. They dont know if he has something "on top of" the ear infection causing the high feever (over 103) but dont want to risk it. Please pray this works. This poor kid has been though alot since the begening of the month...and it's taking a toll on all of us.

We have answers....

Jacob has a ear infection, and a red throat. The quick strep test came back neg, but doc was not sure. He's on amoxicillian for 10 days....and is cleared to return to school on Wednesday. So out of about 40 days of school so far...he's missed 7 (tomorrow included) and school sent home a 'truancy' letter. If this continues (Rolling on floor laughing here... ) we will have to work up a plan to correct this pattern. UMMMM they do understand he's 3 .... right??

Thanksgiving weekend...

Well I know I havent updated...and i'm so sorry! I was sick for thanksgiving, and working the whole weekend too. Scott came in Wednesday night...and we're enjoying our time with him. Caitlynn loves seeing Uncle Scott, and Jacob...well he's wondering who the stranger is in his house ;)

Jacob had a awesome day at daycare on Wednesday...proceeded to have a great weekend...then got sick last night. Never fails, todays a school day (number 5 that he has missed) we've already been sent home a Truency letter for him! OMG he's 3 years old!! What do they think he's just skipping school to watch Thomas? Darn him for sneaking back in after we leave! So we're writing him notes for school...but I wonder how many of them they will accept before we have to take him to the doctor for every bug that he catches.

I'm thinking today may be one of his FUO's...he woke up with a feever, but we couldn't find the thermometer, but he was hot all over. He now feels slightly warm...but is acting fine, and tollerating his feeds. (that's a huge improvement over the past 2 weeks!) He was even out playing with Scruffy. Scruff would bark...then stop. Jacob would bark back...UGH the noise! ;)

We think we have figured out Christmas pictures....now if only we could get the kids to listen, and sit. This could take awhile!! LOL

I promise to try to get some pictures taken today and tomorrow before Scott leaves. I would hate it if I didn't get any pic's of him with the kids.

Does it ever end?

Last Monday Jacob had a GI apt. He had lost 2 pounds. So the doctor and us had a feeling he was not absorbing his formula like he should...and decided to change him to Peptamen 1.5. It's more broken down, and should be easier to digest. It didnt go so well...he ended up in the ER on friday dehydrated...and needing to wear his backpack from Thursday afternoon till Saturday morning. We've gone back to a mixture of Nutren 1.5 and Nutren Jr...and Praying this will work. Yesterday he only threw up at 1 feed, and retched badly at 3. Much better then throwing up at 4...We have not weighed him since this fiasco started...but will tomorrow. Daycare had us come get him on Thursday cause they were afraid he was sick sick, not just feed sick. Thankfully the ER checked him out... Xray of Head, Chest and bowels (he hadn't had a poop since Tuesday) and all was fine. He did finally poop on Saturday...5 times. So he was backed up some...but it was pretty normal, and not hard...so not bad.

Hopefully all goes well today...and he tollerates (as to be expected) his feeds at school and daycare. Mom-Mom is on call this afternoon...since I have to work. They were short a closer for today so i'm working today, and getting Sunday off.

I have a few cards to buy...and a bank to stop at...so off I go before work. Keep our little man in your prayers. Also add in Kerie, Hannah and Jack & Aunt Judy...And Grandmom Anthony. It's been rough all around the past month they all need all you can give.

Shapes...

Tonight Jacob sat in his chair while we had dinner. We gave him paper and crayons...he had a blast :)

I drew a Circle and Square on the paper, these are 2 shapes he know, and I was getting him to say them. I decided to throw a curve at him. I drew a triangle....and he SAID triangle!!! So I drew a Star...and he SAID Star!!! OMG he's doing awesome!!!

I'll get it on video this weekend ;)

Name the Trains :)

Jacob loves his trains...so much so that he will say "wooo wooo" if we're going near train tracks, even if you have not seen them yet, he knows where they are!

School Pictures

Jacob's pictures came back yesterday. The Proof's that is. They arent bad, but not great either. It looks like he's trying to climb off the stool they put him on. We will get some...but not a large package.
We're getting the same package for Caitlynn's. We're not very fond of either set of pictures...and we're Praying! That their spring pictures will be better. That's when the class pictures get done also. Seeing Jacob's class pictures should be interesting...they have a bunch of cute 3 yr olds there.
