I know it's been a long time since my last update. Things on the Jacob front are doing great! It has been 18 days since Jacob has thrown up! He's tollerating his feeds great!! And he's GAINING weight again!!! Not sure on a weight but he's hit 31 again (and again and again I know...) but it's great to see it go UP! A 40 inch 30 lb little boy is way to skinny. He's sleeping though the nights, maybe a toss or turn here and there, but we're getting 90% full nights of sleep. What a difference that would make if I could shake my cold ;)
Caitlynn loved her concert, and today went to 2 nursing homes and the district offices to sing there. She loved chorus and will be in the spring chorus too. She got the Honor roll for the 2nd time (Top Dog to Boyd) and since she got it twice they are going to see a movie on the last day of school this year. We think they are going to see Alvin. Only 3 days left of school and she's excited!
Jacob now get's his bus here. It picks him up right out front...and he's loving it.
Unfortunatly the reason he get's picked up here is because Frank lost his job 2 weeks ago. So now Paul and Frank are both unemployed. IF (and i'm hopefull, but scared) Frank get's unemployment (they are sending for verification of employment in PA) they we should be able to make ends meet without daycare. But if not...well I dont want to even think of that. I will be checking into SSI for Jacob and whatever other help I can find if he cant get it. Cause we cant put Jacob back in daycare till Frank finds a job that pays enough. Some employers are so heartless to fire/lay off or ANYTHIGN this time of year. It's put a huge damper on our buying power for the kids. Thankfully Jacob doesnt even understand Christmas...though he can say "SANTA" now :) Caitlynn does not believe in Santa so we explained to her that without daddy's job we cant get her everything we wanted to (a computer was our top item for her) but we will try to get what we wanted for her after daddy finds another job. Still very hard on her, but we are together with a roof over our heads. We'll also have company on Christmas day. Adam (co-worker of mom and I, and worked with Paul) will be joining us. It's very funny that Adam is the guy I had the huge run in with on my first day at this new store. Now he's one of the family.
We did get a night out at Steak and Ale for HD's christmas party. Free food for all 4 of us!!! We found a sitter for Jacob...Amazing! Our neighbor (74 years old..I believe) agreed to watch them both. I have friends (not you John boy, or Kerie) that scare away from him. That tube scares so many that they dont see what a joy he is. He's hard, and complicated and WILL NEVER BE HEALED, but he's a love and a pure joy. He started talking 11 weeks ago, and now has over 50 words he says, and i'm sure he 'knows' more.
Today was hard at work...I dont post about work much here cause people there (Hi Connie) know this site. I talked to HR today (for the 2nd time in 2.5 weeks) about FMLA and trying to find out what paperwork I needed, and should it be filled out with his SC doc's instead of keeping his CHOP doc's on file since they dont see him any longer. Our new HR either comes off very bad, OR is very mean. I dont know which, but I bit my toung and walked out telling him 'you know where to find me when you have the papers I need'....after talking to Connie and Krista and ending up in tears. I talked to L our store manager....and I think things will get straightened out. But for someone to insinuate that my sons disability is not permanent, and that FMLA has run out and I could be terminated (with 2 people already unemployed in the house) the next time i'm out even for him. I just broke down. Jacob is permanently disabled in accordence with SSI, AMERICA considers his disabilities life long, and at one point were life threatening. He's lived, and is doing AWESOME! And for that we thank the lord above....someone watched out for that baby! But to hear someone that knows nothing about him say what he did..
Ok i'm stopping.
Overall we're on that roller coaster...looking for a pitstop ;)
Check out this site all. It was sent to me from Grandmom Davies and I LOVE it!!

Wow Trish. So glad to get an update but devastated about Frank's job. I'm so sorry honey. Sending prayer your way for sure. Just remember..if God takes care of the birds...He'll cover your family and make sure your with home/food and shelter. I know it. I pray for quick job finding. Jacob is doing amazing. I'm so elated to hear this and of course Caitlynn is a bright missy! WTG! Jacob is talking like crazy. I'm so excited to hear that. I am praying for you.
Big hugs honey---thanks for updating. I just don't have much time for P2P anymore. It's hard to stay focused when I get on there.

Oh my Trish! My thoughts & prayers are with you guys. Andrea said it great! God will take care of you. Even when you don't think so. I have plenty of those days! I agree with the FMLA thing. Every 12 weeks, we have to get a new one. I think they should make a different form for those people that will be disabled forever. We have a handicapped placard hanging from the van's window- but DH can't take off work w/o a friggin' form?!?! Ok, I'm going to get off my high horse! It's about you, not me! LOL I'm thrilled to hear about Jacob's words! WOW! Thanks for updating. {{{HUGS}}}
