When you dont know how your next bill will be paid. What do you do when you feel like you are at the end of the road? When Prayer doesn't seem to help, cause you've prayed that prayer so often in the past 5 weeks. How do you wake up in the morning, knowing that it'll be just another day, at the same old job...that will only net you enough to make the bare minimum...and you STILL wont be able to pay for Food, Gas, Mortgage and car insurance. We're not even mentioning heat, electric or the other bills that are waiting. Including Caitlynn needing a dentist apt...even with Dental for her, I cant afford the visit. Where do you turn...
Unemployment "somewhat" came though...but we wont be getting a back check since Carolina Fire said he was fired for "poor work performance" not what they told him...but hell it's their word against his. Oh ya...did I mention that they have not paid Frank his final pay check yet? http://www.carofire.com/ We wont get any unemp payments till 1-26 they "disqualified" him for 8 weeks due to 'they said' ... and they cant do anything about not getting a final check. We are going to the labor board on that...and have a chance (laugh, laugh) of getting 3x what they owe him. But again it's "he said she said" and the burden of proof. He's contacting the place he inspected on the 5th (day before being let go) for a statement saying he was there. And PRAYING they will give him one.
I feel like I cant stand for the weight on my shoulders...I dont know what to do, or where to turn...
Andrea...Thank You...I needed that prayer today.

Oh, Trish, I'm so very sorry that things are so rough for you all right now. I don't know if it makes sense that it pains me even more to have met you and Frank and know what kind and decent people you are. Prayers, hon. *hugs*
Trish, I have been thinking about you and your family a lot latley. I will continue to pray that everything works for the best.
As for, what do you do, you put one foot in front of the other and move foward everyday. Baby steps are better than no steps. You/Dh call the people you owe money to and explain what is going on and see if you can work some sort of deal out.You apply for assistance and Medicaid. You ask for help from your family, friends, and church.
I think that your Dh should compile any proof that he was doing his job. maybe he had a positive review. He should have people write a letter to atest to this. His idea of getting a statement from his last inspection is a great idea.
I would also call the labor board and ask their opinion on Dh's "but we wont be getting a back check since Carolina Fire said he was fired for "poor work performance" not what they told him...but hell it's their word against his." problem. Maybe they can give you a better idea on how to fight this.
Last but not least, You keep praying and praying. God is awnsering you, but remember he doesn't always awnser the way we would like and he also helps those who help themselves. Be steadfast my lady!
Times like these are very depressing, but right now you can't afford to get depressed. Depression will make everything so much harder and it robs the mind of will. Remember the saying, without a will there isn't a way.God gives us a Will, the devil gives us despair and hopelessness to take will away.
I hope that you take this as encouragment from a friend. My family and I, have been where you are. BIG HUGS and Tons of Prayers!!!
Trish, hun- I'm sorry to hear things are rough right now. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers and you will stay there. Huge hugs!
Hi honey, my gracious Trish. I know this season will pass...but until then 'what do you do?'...
my answer: Im praying for you and the only thing I know for sure is that the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you. SO with this said, I hate to send 'religious cliche'' and say stuff like 'the Lord will never give you what you can't handle'. I really hate it when people say that by the way. So, I will say to you that I'll get on my knees for you today and ask my friend Ericka (whom is here with me now) to intercede on your behalf. I'm going to pray.
